Shadow a Theatre House Manager - Interns are often able to get a first-hand look at the nuts and bolts of operations at one of the nine Nederlander theaters on Broadway. You’ll see what goes into putting on a show, come to understand the importance of resolving unforeseen problems and learn how crucial the House Manager truly is to the Broadway experience. You just might gain a new appreciation for how theatres work or even have your eyes opened to careers you may never have considered.




Attend Group Sales Events - Sales and Patron Services play an extremely important role on Broadway and shows in pre-production want and need to generate excitement prior to opening. As an intern, you may have the opportunity to attend pre-opening Group Sales events where producers, directors and playwrights may provide insights not otherwise available.




Spearhead Your Own Projects - As an intern, the chance of you being given a project to take on by yourself is very likely. Past interns have been put in charge of assignments such as the Broadway Goes Green project and even the installation of Pricing and Content screens in each of the nine Nederlander theatres.




Exposure to a Broadway Working Environment - Interns at Nederlander Producing Company of America are also given the opportunity to be exposed to a real working Broadway office. Being in this environment allows an intern to get a feel for the industry and absorb knowledge by simply taking in their surroundings. Working with like-minded professionals will prove to be one of the best opportunities Nederlander has to offer.
